Lynton covered trailer (UK)
Privately-built 'one-off' covered trailers (UK)
Erik Hadley's custom-built covered trailer (UK)
When Erik was living in Switzerland, he had this trailer built in the Czech Republic for his Streak aircraft.
The design was loosely based on the original Lynton trailer. But it's a little bit longer and wider, so it is easier to walk around the aircraft inside the trailer.
The shape of the trailer sides enables the driver to see the rear light clusters in the rear view mirrors - handy for backing or tight manoeuvering.
Superstructure is single-skin aluminium, and the floor is thick marine/industrial ply. Standard 'over-ride' brakes on the wheels.
Rear door/ramp has central locking, and incorporates a spring in the hinge for easy opening and closing.
It tows well up to 100km/h, but is best at 85km/h.
